Moving Forward.
Dec 31st
As we move forward into 2010, here’s to a sanguine start to the New Year. Personally, I hope that I will continue to grow both as a photographer and as a person.
It’s surreal to think that an entire decade of this second millenia has already passed by! Do you remember the Y2K craze and the worldwide fear of the Y2K bug? For me, the year 2000 was an exciting year, full of anticipation, because it was the year that I turned 14 and could legally drive with a learner’s permit in Alberta - a major milestone in one’s life!! I remember that memorable countdown like it was yesterday. My oh my how time flies and a decade later here we are today.
Have an amazing night and happy New Years!!!

Merry Christ Day.
Dec 25th
Merry Christmas!!! Hope you are all enjoying the holidays in the warmth of family and friends. Plus, who doesn’t love the spirit of Christmas – the sounds, the colors, the familiar nostalgic jingles when you walk through the malls, the blanket of fresh snow on Christmas morning, the annual cartoons that haven’t changed since we were kids, the Christmas themed TV episodes (especially the Christmas episodes of my favorite Soaps), the Christmas movies and the annual tradition of going to the movie theater on Christmas day with friends! I love Christmas.
This photo was taken in a church in Toronto. Lucked out with a nearby lightsource that I was able to position to create the heavenly glow in the upper left corner.
Have a fantastic Christmas everyone!

This is an oldie but a goodie to fill the emptyness of the blog as of late. My fault really: I forgot to install Photoshop on my laptop when I came home! How ever am I then supposed to add my signature and resize the photos for the web???!!! Today I finally got Photoshop up and running… I’m baaaaaaaack!!!
Plus, I’ve been a bit lazy lounging around in the heated comfort of my home with warm Mum’s food and endless amounts of sleep rather than out shooting the breathtaking frosty winter wonderland scenes Calgary has to offer. And now the snow has started to melt… I’ve got mad photographer guilt… *sigh*
Fingers are actively crossed for a massive unexpected Calgary snowfall.
Freedom!
Dec 19th
The Bald Eagle is the American symbol of freedom. Fitting because I am finally free… free from a semester replete with exams. Free to finally have some time to myself and my thoughts. Free to enjoy my photography.
I hope everyone is having a great holiday break thus far, and stay tuned for some new life in the photoblog over the next two weeks!
Fading Memories.
Dec 12th
When the people, places and events that once happened start to fade into nothing more than a nostalgic dream, you realize how fleeting time is and how precious each of those moments once were. Time, itself, is stolen from us by the trivialities of life – which is ironic because even if we had more time to live life, we would likely fill it with more trivialities. I know I make this mistake all too often rather than slowing down, taking a deep breath and just appreciating who we are, where we are, and the people that are there with us.
This was taken from a past life of mine in Kingston, Ontario from an island across my alma mater, Queen’s University. Those really were the best of times – there is really nothing as sweet as the endless innocence of youth.
The Air Up There.
Dec 10th
Sorry I’ve been so MIA lately, barely updating the blog for the past two weeks. Can you tell I’ve been in the middle of a rough exam season? Well we are literally one week away from the end of what many consider to be the worst semester of dental school at UofT and today was one of the heaviest exams of the semester!!! What a relief and only one week to go. Then I will return back to those beautiful mountains I call home and all the photography that’s currently missing from my life – a well needed breath of fresh air.
Church On Church.
Dec 3rd
To be perfectly honest, I’m not exactly sure if this was a church on Church St.! I truly think it was, but I must confess that all I remember was starting on Church St. to literally follow and photograph the churches of downtown Toronto… and Church St. does have some of the grandest of Torontonian churches. Along the way somewhere I captured this. So I guess for me, this is a church on Church St.
