Autumn In Toronto.
Oct 31st
The leaves are finally starting to ripen and fall in Toronto. Only once a year are the streets are flooded with mountains of unraked freshly fallen leaves, especially in the residential areas and community parks near the Don Valley Parkway. Almost like summer’s last and final statement, it’s such a colorfully bold and vibrantly beautiful way to herald the barren and monochrome flavor of winter.
Time For A Nap.
Oct 28th
I feel exhausted – mind, body, heart and soul. What I find always helps refresh and pick me up is a solid wake-me-up-in-a-century carefree nap. The kind that waking up from knocks you out.
But with an exam in oral surgery looming, this is not an option - at least not guiltlessly.
Oh if only… boy he sure does look comfortable.
In The Wake Of Winter.
Oct 24th
Winter has left behind a bitterly barren and depressingly desolate scene. But while the trees long for the day the sun will rise again and share in its warmth, they must first wait for the penetrating and piercing cold to pass. Infinitely waiting and heartachingly lifeless, sometimes it feels like winter will never end, or more appropriately, like summer will never come knocking.
It’s going to be a long winter guys…
The Seasons Of Change.

Time is a funny thing. Take this photo, for example. Shot in Washington DC over 6 years ago, but it still feels like we were there just yesterday – oh how time can just fly by unnoticed. It’s a nice and picturesque scene, but the tonal range is so flat that (at least to me) it’s somehow quite depressing. Fitting, I think, since we’re going into exam season and all.
Duh. Duh. Duh…

Today I Learnt How To Suture…
Oct 5th
… so I ended up suturing shut my yummy Nutella crêpe.
To all those dents out there, scope the single interrupted sutures, a continuous suture, a vertical mattress suture, a cross mattress suture and a horizontal suture. Bahahaha I know I’m actually absurd – but at least I enjoy what we do right?
(No crêpes were harmed in the making of this post.)
Niagara By Night.
Oct 3rd
Went a few weeks ago with Fouad and my mom to Niagara Falls for the fireworks show they were having that night. Of course, as my luck would have it, the fireworks got cancelled literally 5 minutes before the show was supposed to begin. I was all set up with my camera and tripod and we had accomplished the difficult task of staking out the perfect location amongst the hectic throngs of American tourists that had all come, too, for the show.
Well, no fireworks-over-the-falls pictures but, of course, here is one of the obligatory night shots.
I Miss Summer.
